Ashok Pathi is an attorney at the Law Offices of Schwartz & Storey. Mr. Pathi's practice focuses special education law, and assisting special needs families with estate planning matters, such as limited conservatorships and special needs trusts that are designed to protect a disabled loved one's best interests well into adulthood. Mr. Pathi understands the complex and often intricate issues special needs families face when planning for their children's futures and is committed helping clients accomplish this goal in the most effective way possible.

Mr. Pathi has remained a dedicated member of the special needs community for over a decade. After completing his undergraduate degree at University of California San Diego, Mr. Pathi taught fencing to high functioning children with autism and saw the direct benefit inclusion had on his students. As an educator, Mr. Pathi recognized how instructional activities furthered the development of his students' social skills and followed many of them as they transitioned from high-school to college. It was this experience that prompted Mr. Pathi to pursue a legal career in special education law.

Mr. Pathi has over four years experience working in the special education law field. As both a certified law clerk and attorney, Mr. Pathi has represented special needs families in actions against school districts regarding procedural and substantive violations committed during the IEP process and disciplinary proceedings. He also has significant experience in drafting and filing complaints against various educational institutions and has taken matters from mediation to hearings at the administrative and Federal Court levels.

Mr. Pathi received a Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and graduated cum laude in 2012. While in law school, Mr. Pathi was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and co-president of the Environmental Law Society. Mr. Pathi obtained his undergraduate degree in History from the University of California San Diego in 2007 and was a competitive member of the varsity fencing team and staff writer for at UCSD's The MQ.
